Don’t Get Me Wrong - The Pretenders
Posted in: the pretenders by on September 20, 2008
Starting near the end of the punk rock movement, The Pretenders began their band in 1978. Consisting of Chrissie Hynde (lead vocals, rhythm guitar and songwriter), James Honeyman-Scott (lead guitar, backup vocals, keyboards), Pete Farndon (bass guitar and backup vocals), and Martin Chambers (drums, backup vocals, percussion), the band eventually fell apart by 1982 due to drug deaths. But The Pretenders continued on through the years, hanging onto only Chrissie Hynde of the original group. The Pretenders were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
